- This paper reported a significant reduction in the size of inductors in novel theta-converters. It led to the award of a 5-year Industrial Fellowship with the Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult £250K) and supported a four-year PhD project (£40k, through the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing). It also led to a special session ‘Medium Voltage Direct Current for Electricity Distribution Networks’ in the Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society 2019, Lisbon (https://iecon2019.org/wp-content/uploads/SpecialSessions/75_SS_IECON2019_Medium-Voltage-DC-for-Electricity-Distribution-Networks.pdf).
