- Farrington co-convened the Higgs to Leptons group at ATLAS during this time, and co-lead the work presented in this output. Leading up to this role, Farrington improved the ATLAS tau trigger design to use sensitive lifetime variables in a machine learning algorithm which was crucial to enabling taus to be recorded at the LHC enabling this observation of Higgs decays to tau leptons. In the convenorship role Farrington led choices on background estimation, triggering, statistical fits, systematic uncertainties and control-region definitions, and coordination of the paper-writing.
