- Automatic synthesis from temporal logic specifications is widely used in robotic motion planning and control of autonomous systems. This paper addresses a central challenge in synthesis from logical specifications, which is the balancing of the trade-off between different competing requirements. This is the first work to employ a MaxSAT engine in the context of quantitative synthesis from temporal logic specifications. The resulting MaxSAT instances have been part of the MaxSAT Evaluation (https://maxsat-evaluations.github.io/2018/) since 2018.
