- The work described here led to the author’s one-year secondment to the National Composites Centre (Jon Butt, Jonathan.butt@nccuk.com), applying expertise in machine vision to the composites industry. Follow-on contributions ranged from novel inspection methods to statistical analysis of manufactured material. Collaborative work is ongoing via the Digital Engineering Technology & Innovation scheme (DETI PoC3.10) funded by the West of England Combined Authority to drive innovation and digitally enabled recovery following the Coronavirus outbreak.
