- After four years of sustained research undertaken with funding awarded by the Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF), this book provides the first in-depth investigation of disability justice in the context of African philosophy. It importantly contributes to the legal philosophy of disability justice by synthesising and extending a variety philosophical literature on the African concept of community and the obligations it entails to people with disabilities. The book combines philosophical insights with a discussion of their potential relevance to practical legal and political frameworks. Overall, it provides a valuable resource for research, teaching and intercultural exchanges on disability justice.
