- Double-weighted statement
- The publication of this book was the culmination of almost a decade of research and writing. Extensive primary source research in multiple US archives was funded by the AHRC and RHS among others, and resulted in a monograph of approximately 108,000 words. It provides the first study of US policy in Latin America during the presidency of Lyndon Johnson, assessing key policymakers, major crises, and reassessing the legacy of American development initiatives during the Cold War.
