- Double-weighted statement
- Hypermodernity and Visuality fulfils the criteria for double weighting by being a long-duration output demonstrating sustained research effort of extended scale and scope in its ambitious combination of creative and critical content. The text’s multi-disciplinary approach (i.e. analytic, literary, poetic, creative photographic, philosophical, historical, literary-theoretical) required a lengthy period of investigative work into diverse textual materials. The creative components of the book also necessitated an extended period of work, especially in relation to the shooting and preparation of the photographs used in the text. The book thus amounts to the undertaking of a complex and multi-layered process of creative investigation.
