- Double-weighted statement
- We have requested that this book be double-weighted. It is the culmination of eight years’ research into published and unpublished work by and about Magnus Hirschfeld. Reflecting the transnational reach of Hirschfeld’s activities and impact, the book is underpinned by extensive original archival research in the UK, USA, Germany, Japan and Israel. It predominantly deals with texts in English and German, but other linguistic contexts also feature. The research was supported by a Wellcome Trust Small Grant, AHRC Fellowship and a Leslie Centre for the Humanities Fellowship, Dartmouth College, USA. The book was awarded a 2017 Knowledge Unlatched Award
