- A novel resource-aware, service-oriented architecture that combines resource monitoring to mediate resources contentions in embedded systems . After publication, a detailed version of the work was invited for publication in the prestigious Future Generation Computer Systems Journal. The work has resulted in follow-on PhD research projects on predictive fault-tolerant architectures (PhD graduated and is SW Architect, BBC Manchester), and self-validating service-oriented architectures (PhD graduated and launched a successful start-up on Cyber-Physical Systems in IoT). To involve undergraduate students in research, the work contributed to a teaching mini-module on how to build power-aware software in the School's Software Studio Module.
