- The novel concepts in this article led to the first author’s invitation to the 2019 Dagstuhl seminar 19241 on the Burrows-Wheeler transform and additionally to be a member of a Dagstuhl specialist panel on Combinatorics on Words at this seminar. Published in Theoretical Computer Science, the leading journal in the field. The work has motivated a number of follow-on developments, including research carried out at Harvard Medical School, University of Milano Bicocca, and King's College London.
