- The book manuscript has 118,483 words. It is the English translation of “Liesel, it’s time for you to leave”. Von Heilbronn nach England. Die Flucht der Familie Rosenthal vor nationalsozialistischer Verfolgung (Heilbronn 2015). The book is based on a private collection of c. 450 letters written between family members and institutions between 1937 and 1947, and on additional archival research in New York (LBI), Jerusalem (LBI), London (Wiener Library), Berlin (Centrum Judaicum) as well as correspondence with “former Heilbronners” residing today in Cape Town, Melbourne, Buenos Aires or Los Angeles.
