- Huge ranges of data and services are available while mobile, but switching between devices is not seamless. We address the neglected classical problem of portability by abstracting mobile devices (notably smartphones) from the content they manipulate. Our platform places users' content on a separate physical accessory, so they can use any other device’s functionality but feel at home seeing their own content. Our longitudinal deployment confirmed benefits for emergent users of technology, who do not always own or have access to personal devices. Our new architecture for mobile platforms is a change of perspective on interaction with mobile devices.
