- Additional information
- As well as contributing Chapter 4 on decolonization and containerization (pp. 67-99), White co-wrote the introductory and concluding chapters (pp. 1-6, 249-73) of this edited collection with Petersson and Tenold. The volume was commissioned jointly by the three editors, and the editorial work for the chapters was equally shared by Petersson, Tenold and White (including reading of drafts, suggestions of additions and amendments, and standardization of texts in house-style). The indexing of the volume was also undertaken jointly by Petersson, Tenold and White. The volume had its origins in a symposium organised by Petersson and White at Liverpool John Moores University in June 2016 under the auspices of the Centre for Port & Maritime History (of which White is co-director).
