- Ethical English synthesises and builds upon 30 years of research and almost 100 peer referred articles by the author to explore how the English curriculum can play a vital role in the education of citizens in diverse, liberal societies from different perspectives (‘spiritual’, ‘moral’ and ‘religious’). By considering the societal impact of this school subject and its role in values formation it represents a complex and extended process of creative investigation. This is an investigation of considerable depth, using different perspectives synthesised to provide a new model for English in the diverse political and cultural contexts of today.
