- This paper proposed a novel approach to partitioning state estimation problems in power networks which explicitly limits the effects of faults and attacks on parts of the network, reducing convergence and recovery intervals. The methods proposed provided the basis to develop and model novel attacks relevant to hierarchical and distributed state estimation problems found not only in power networks where a piecewise LTI formulation is appropriate.
