- This research study was carried out in collaboration with Weir Valves & Controls (now Trillium Flow Technologies), funded by Innovate UK through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (9551 - Matthew Charlton, Matthew.Charlton@weirgroup.com). It focused on the development of a series of multi-stage continuous-resistance trim designs for severe service molten salt and nuclear applications. The work led to collaboration between RGU and Underwater Contracting Ltd for research in the design and evaluation of control valves for best response in ROVs.
