- This book published by Cambridge University Press is a major study of the nature of borders and security and in particular focussing on the nature of borders in international space.This book draws on the author's multi-sited ethnography in Mauritania and Senegal, showing how border security practices and technologies operate to build state security capacity, transform how state agencies work, and produce new forms of authority and expertise. In doing so it takes an interdisciplinary approach that draws of political science, sociology and international relations.
