- This book is the publication of a six-year research project which involved significant new fieldwork in western Scotland including excavation, survey and fieldwalking. This field programme involved the collection of new data and its subsequent analysis. In addition to this earlier unpublished excavations and collections were also written up for publication. These results were then placed within a wider research context addressing ongoing issues of connectivity in prehistory.
