- This paper was one of the first to transport and re-orient well-known axioms from social choice theory to argumentation theory, specifically the problem of aggregating agent's differing evaluations over a set of arguments. It has served as a theoretical basis for systems to aggregate different viewpoints in an online discussion forum (Ganzer-Ripoll et al, Barcelona: https://doi.org/10.1007/s10726-018-9594-6). This paper has been cited as a key text in the integration of argumentation with voting theory (e.g., https://doi.org/10.3233/FI-2017-1459 and https://www.ijcai.org/Proceedings/2018/0065.pdf).
