- Double-weighted statement
- This volume, consisting of c. 220,000 words in 12 chapters over 689 pages (main text), is the first biographical study in over 50 years to cover in detail every major work or group of works from Mozart's decade in Vienna. The underpinning research entailed consultation of autographs/first editions (over c.5 years) of around 80 individual or groups of Mozart Viennese works, held at libraries across Europe and America (e.g. Berlin, Paris, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, London, New York), and preparation of c. 200 musical examples directly from the primary sources.
