- This is the first project of its kind worldwide to address nuns’ literacies in medieval Europe from the seventh to the sixteenth centuries from a multi-disciplinary comparative perspective. In this final volume of three books, comprising fifty-three essays on a complicated and extensive range of medieval manuscript and archival primary material in Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Irish, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish, research findings are provided that will act as a valuable resource for all future research in this area. O’Mara was 90% responsible for the introduction and proofreading; 70% responsible for four indices and bibliography.
