- This publication led to Vestas' further funding on a KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) grant - a total of £67,830 for 12 months - through Innovate UK (Ref. KTP009787) to work on wind-turbine blade noise prediction technology (contact point: Mr T Vronsky, tvr@vestas.com). The outcome of the KTP project resulted in another high-quality publication in Wind Energy 20 (2017) 1727-1752 (DOI:10.1002/we.2119). Also, the success of the KTP project has led to Vestas' ongoing support for a three-year PhD studentship (£58,390) to work on developing a new noise prediction model for wind-turbine blades with serrated trailing edges.
