- English abstract
- This later ‘Afterward’, which appears in the Russian translation of the author’s previous Darwin’s Pious Idea, moves on from the latter’s challenge to biological reductionism to oppose scientific reductionism per se. Arising from fresh research, it draws on philosophical arguments as well as wide-ranging scientific evidence to expose the falsehood of the myth that all behaviour and phenomena can be reduced to that of physical particles. It also develops a realist alternative to social constructionism. Although published in Russian, the original author’s manuscript in English is appended to the PDF for ease of reviewing.
