- Beaugrand, Claire, Stateless in the Gulf: Migration, Nationality and Society in Kuwait
This is a long-form output whose production has demonstrated sustained research effort. It collects and analyses a large body of novel material gathered through a sustained and extensive period of interviewing in the Gulf and a variety of other global settings. The argument of the book is complex in its interdisciplinarity and its bringing together a series of discussions on citizenship, rights, politics and history in its Kuwaiti setting. It also represents a deeply personal creative investigation into a deeply sensitive topic.
