Findings from the research have been utilised in the development of an in-bed monitoring system for patient posture change in collaboration with the Council of Health for the Andalusian Health Service in Spain, funded by the Andalusian Health Service (Grant No. PI-0387-2018, 01/2017-12/2019). The work was extended by Ulster University, University of Jaen and University of Cádiz and was subsequently awarded the best paper award in the UCAmI Conference 2018.
