- The work was supported by DMU internal funding via RIF6 (15-JR6B): Development of a novel 2-dimensional sliding wear test facility. The reported work was used to support a successful application to the Royal Society and NSFC (China) for an International Exchange Costshare programme in 2016. The novel test method reported in the paper is currently being used by the Chinese partner to test the bio-tribological properties of metallic glass coatings on stainless steel (Prof. Xiulin Ji, Hohai University, xiulinji@gmail.com).
