- Published in the Future Generation Computer Systems Journal, with an impact factor of 4.968 (in the last five years), this paper presents a scalable and robust secure communication framework for services deployed in inter-cloud environments. The work was developed as part of the EU-funded project OPTIMIS (FP7-ICT, Grant ID: 257115) and was evaluated in virtual machines hosted on the clouds of partners in the project, namely British Telecom Ltd. and Flexiant Ltd. The work has been cited in the context of firewall for industrial applications (Liu et al., 2019) and of database migration for big data systems (Zaharia, 2017).
