- Additional information
- This book was the result of a 3-year AHRC-funded project, ‘Transformation and Tradition in Sixties British Cinema’. The volume was co-authored by Mayne with Duncan Petrie, Melanie Williams, and Richard Farmer. Mayne’s research contribution consisted of two chapters (sole-authored). In addition to these chapters, Mayne provided editing and feedback for the rest of the chapters in the book, most significantly for the introduction and all of Part One. Mayne also contributed significant research material for Part One of the volume, 'Structures and Companies', and much of the data provided in this section about film companies and historical trends was drawn from an original dataset created, compiled, and analysed during the three years of the AHRC project.
