- A novel molten salts iron-oxygen battery is reported, promising a new route for grid-scale energy storage. The work results from collaboration with Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics (SINAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The collaboration continues with an International Collaboration fund (RMB 3,000,000.00, from CAS, Grant No. XDA 21000000) to the SINAP team, and a Visiting Professorship to Prof. Chen (2019-2021 with SINAP).
