- This work, resulting from a collaboration between SHU, Université Paris Nord, Sorbonne Université and UFMG (Brazil), resolved the controversy surrounding the exact crystal structure of Ba2CoTeO6 and its magnetic properties. This work also unveiled the narrow window for synthesis of a single-phase material. A. Aziz presented selected results at the 2016 International Conference on Advances on Clean Energy, receiving the best presenter award. Recently, Prof. R.J. Cava from Princeton University included Ba2CoTeO6 in a list of potentially new quantum materials (https://dx.doi.org/10.1021/acs.chemrev.0c00622). Collaborators were partially supported through grants from Region Ile-de-France and from the Brazilian agencies CNPq, FINEP and FAPEMIG
