- Double-weighted statement
- This book is a product of a sustained and complex research effort that took some five years to complete. At the core of the project was six months of intensive fieldwork and in-depth interviews conducted in Nigeria. This was complemented by two years of desk research, and, following months of intensive and iterative discourse analysis of the transcripts, over two years dedicated to academic synthesis and writing, integrating insights and arguments across multiple connected fields of study. Excluding references, the final output is approximately 70,000 words.
