- This 384-page co-edited book, was a principal output of a major AHRC-funded (Classics and Class) project, with the co-editor as PI and the attributed individual as RA. 5 of the chapters came from a conference organised by the co-editor in 2010 at the British Academy, before the project formally began. The remaining 11 chapters were solicited and written for the volume after the AHRC project began. Contributors include specialists in English Literature, History, Classics and Art. The chapters were divided equally for close editing between the co-editors, and 1 round of detailed comments and revisions. A few of the chapters required significant revisions, including rewriting sections and significant reductions and extensions. Contributors were responsible for their own image copyrights. The attributed individual was responsible for liaising with authors. The attributed individual co-wrote the introduction (50%), compiled the notes on contributors, index, and was sole author of chapter 4 (pp. 55-78).
