- The paper arose from a CRUK Multidisciplinary Award project and describes a novel facile method to load docetaxel onto TIPS microspheres via antisolvent precipitation. The process is also applicable to other compounds and has resulted in a patent filing (UK patent application 1914849.3). The study has led to further funding from CRUK via the Product Development Fund and discussion with the MHRA regarding a clinical study. Following on from this work funding support for regulatory agency and business development advice has been awarded from the Research England Higher Education Innovation Fund via the UCL Knowledge Exchange and Innovation Fund.
