- Shared Characters was the major output arising from an AHRC-funded research project that spanned over three years (2013-2017) and also occupied a Chancellor’s Fellowship (research-intensive tenure-track post) 2012-2015. Building upon earlier research into the narrative traditions of Indian Buddhism and Jainism, the project also drew on Hindu epic materials, and included both primary language research (Sanskrit and Pali) and extensive reading into the history of intertextuality in India.
