- This 130,000 words monograph is based on extensive, multi-methods research conducted between 2013 and 2017. It required the collection and analysis of a large body of material in eight languages, including documents from 18 archives located in seven countries, of which several had restricted access, a total of 170 qualitative one hour interviews conducted face-to-face in eight countries, and both quantitative content analysis and in-depth thematic and narrative of TV schedules and archival TV programmes covering a span of thirty years. All data collection and primary analysis was conducted in original languages, using shared research instruments and procedures.
