- This monograph is an original study of the ways in which the Russian Revolution was reflected in British publications in the period immediately after the Revolution and represents a major reframing of the literary historiography of the period. Its preparation involved the study of many hundreds of book and journal publications by journalists, politicians, agitators, agents, translators, and literary figures, many of whom were barely known and little or never studied. The study also required extensive preparation in the history and biographies of the period. The work took place over ten years and was supported by the Leverhulme Trust.
