- This paper presents a revolutionary design and algorithm for real-time 3D laser subsea imaging which achieves a 10 times increase in scanning speed compared to existing commercial approaches. The system is used to demonstrate the first real time laser based mapping and localisation subsea. The work has subsequently been commercialised by iQua Robotics.
