- This book is the culmination of research spanning many years, the authors having monitored election coverage since 2013. The range of elections embraces local, European, General and Presidential events necessitating different research methods and approaches, and the book gathers together vast amounts of pertinent global research undertaken. It contains insights from politicians, broadcast news editors, journalists and press regulators who, though usually inaccessible, have since taken an ongoing interest in the work and adjusted their policymaking accordingly. Critical scholarly attention indicates that this is a significant and important contribution and one that has an ongoing impact on election coverage.
