- Additional information
- The edited volume emerged from parallel research projects on spoken-language interpreting via video link (AVIDICUS 3 – Assessment of Video-Mediated Interpreting in the Criminal Justice System, 2014-16; PI Braun, University of Surrey) and signed-language interpreting in video links (PI Napier, Heriot Watt University) and was conceived to bring current research on video-mediated interpreting in both fields of interpreting together, highlighting the links between these often separate fields and encouraging cross-fertilisation. Braun’s contributions to this volume were as follows: 1) She co-wrote the scene-setting chapter Interpreting via video link: Mapping of the field, contributing 50% to its content to cover the evolution of video-mediated spoken-language interpreting. 2) She was the lead author of the chapter Video-Mediated interpreting in legal settings: Assessing the implementation, contributing 80% to its content, based on her research in the AVIDICUS project. 3) She contributed 30% to the introduction. 4) She reviewed all chapters in this volume and was responsible for editing the other four chapters on spoken-language interpreting.
