- Published in a Scimago-ranked Q1 Journal, this paper presents a unique approach to identifying weaknesses in security configurations, such as those used for access control. This research led to Parkinson acquiring an EPSRC Researcher in Residence Fellowship at the Digital Catapult Centre (EP/MO29263/1), resulting in the release of an open-source tool and it being trialed in five organisations in the Yorkshire region. It also led to Parkinson being an invited panel member at the Yorkshire Enterprise Network annual conference, Bradford (2017) and the Business Insider Cyber Security focused event https://www.insidermedia.com/event/cyber-security-and-gdpr-breakfast-2017.
