- <23> This was the 1st of 2 papers (other 10.1109/THMS.2017.2706658) in Pratheepan’s PhD thesis and helped him secure a lecturer position at Ulster University in 2016. Second author Chaurasia is now a lecturer at Ulster University. Co-author Condell was promoted to Professor in 2020. Following this publication, a research collaboration was established with collaborators from Bangor University, UK and University of Colombo, Sri Lanka to apply Gait features in Autism screening and secured interdisciplinary PhD funding from the Dept for Economy Northern Ireland for 3 years from September 2019-2022. Via this funding, Ben Henderson started his PhD in September 2019.
