- Double-weighted statement
- This required sustained effort and is an extended, complex piece of archival research. The author is an early career academic, and the empirical core is his doctoral research, augmented by subsequent archival research and theoretical reflection. Based on extended immersion in several archives distributed globally (in Russia, Ukraine, New York, London, and libraries at Harvard, Munich, Glasgow, Edinburgh), it required collection and analysis of a large body of material and access to primary sources which were difficult to obtain, requiring translation, mainly from Russian. Published by CambridgeUniversityPress, it has 239 pages and seven substantive chapters plus an epilogue and conclusions.
