- This paper underpinned a successful Innovate UK project (Functional Lattices for Automotive Components FLAC, I:UK number 102665) with partners; Renishaw AMPD, Alcon, Hieta, Moog, Added Scientific and University of Liverpool. The funding period was July 2016 – June 2019, with a total funded value of £1.7m. FLAC led to several high impact follow-on publications and the addition of a new research-focussed additive manufacturing platform at Nottingham (the Renishaw AM400) (£700,000).
