- This paper was published at ACM's premier HCI conference. It brings together for the first time the technical literature on mobile device security with social theories of security. This combination is used to analyse the threats and vulnerabilities that refugees face when resettling in a new land. This research has been generalised to enhance our understanding of how social, economic and political vulnerabilities impair digital access. The collaboration on this paper led to the inclusion of digital security for all as a theme in the funded EPSRC Network+ Not-Equal. It received a Honorable Mention Award (shortlist for Best Paper Award).
