- Original proposal for track-backup rescheduling, focussed on an innovative algorithm for solving the problem of stochastic track capacity recovery. Work supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Hong Kong RGC General Research Fund, and attracted continued funding from EU and Welsh government for further research. Published in IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, a top outlet in cybernetics. The paper has been used as a reference by a good number of leading researchers including those from: Beijing Jiaotong University, China; University of Genova, Italy; Jeonbuk National University, Korea; and Grenoble Alpes University, France.
