- Author contribution statement
- As noted in the author contributions, Yardley was one of the core team of ten senior co-investigators across several UK institutions who developed the protocol for the study, obtained funding (for a substantial NIHR programme grant), provided methodological advice and supervised the conduct of the trial. Yardley’s unique contribution was expertise in the health psychology of behaviour change, particularly as applied to digital health interventions. She also contributed to the reporting and approval of the final version of the manuscript.
