- This research investigates a new method of how mobile devices access and/or share radio resources using a software-defined network. It is an essential piece of work to allow the study of the quality of experience (QoE) from a radio engineering perspective, whereas the QoE is normally studied in terms of network and applications. Already, a few academic research groups have adopted this concept, e.g., Weifeng et al., RAT-NHP: Radio Access Technology Selection Based on N-hop Prediction, IEEE InfoComm 2020; and Chia-Wei et al., Micro Operator Design Pattern in 5G SDN/NFV Network, Hindawi Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, 2018.
