- Directly led to two follow-up EngD projects (£72,000, 2016 2018) sponsored by Tata-Steel,Knowledge Group Manager - Ironmaking, name/email withheld and geraint.lodwig@tatasteeleurope.com (Holland and Port Talbot respectively). Led to commercial industrial ball mill code for FLSmidth engineering (USA, University liaison/Technical specialist – Mining R&D, name/email withheld) and another commercial code released (2017) by Calcom ESI (Switzerland, Manager CFD & Multiphysics Center of Excellence, name/email withheld) who subsequently funded another doctoral student in 2017 (£40,000). Underpins several industry-funded EngD projects (4 doctoral students funded by Renishaw £160,000, Ravi Aswathanarayanaswamy, Ravi.Aswathanarayanaswamy@Renishaw.com) in Additive Manufacturing and a 2017 £290,000 Innovate UK grant (Ref 103750).
