- Double-weighted statement
- This 233-page output emerged from inter-disciplinary research across two large, culturally distinct and developing bodies of material, Animation (history, theory and production) and Sport (history, science and technology). The critical arguments developed required a lengthy period of engagement that involved identifying and reviewing primary sources and conducting 22 interviews, combining historiographic enquiry and multi-media textual analysis. This necessitated reviewing primary sources including artwork, film, scripts, puppets and models during visits to six archives, four private collections, eight studios and three universities in the UK, USA, Australia, Netherlands and Russia.
