- This 366pp study is a significant extension to output 25-32, that adds and focuses on 14 further countries in Western Europe (an additional 165 groups, 55 locations, 1,024 young people). Fieldwork and analysis included 8 field trips, 51 days (2014-17), all discussions conducted by the author. The comparison of East and West Europeans analyses the fresh contexts of the additional discussions, which gave additional frameworks to relating young people’s constructions to events of the period (Charlie Hebdo, refugee crisis, Bataclan, etc) providing a complex inter-woven narrative structure. The data’s originality and scope, and the complexity of the analysis, are significant.
